One to One support

Do you know anyone who needs assistance with day to day tasks, activities, going out into the community? Basingstoke Mencap provides a bespoke, individual based one to one support for Adults with Learning Disabilities in the Basingstoke area. Assistance can be provided within the home and in the community at a time that suits the individual. A support worker will be assigned according to the needs of the person requiring support, so that a friendship can be developed, alongside the practical support. Areas that assistance can be provide include the following: Shopping Social activities such as bowling, going to the cinema or a club to meet friends Travelling on a bus or train Visiting places of interest such as a museum or park Going to college or attending a class that interests you Keeping fit and well, including visits to the doctor, dentist or hospital Assisting you with household jobs such as cooking, cleaning etc Managing your money, paying bills Keeping your home secure and clean If you would like more information please contact Sandra, Support Manager on 01256 423886 or 07564907036 or email: sandra@basingstokemencap.org.uk
